Winner Region 4 2009 Best Tasting Water Contest!

Welcome to the Hartsville/Trousdale Water and Sewer Department.   We are currently serving nearly 3,000 customers within our county and enjoy our home right off the Cumberland River.  In addition to serving our local customers, we also act as a water supplier to surrounding utility districts.

Our county is constantly growing.  Along with our population growth, our water and sewer infrastructures must continue to be evaluated to keep up with our demands.  Along with our staff of 15 employees, we also work closely with mid-state engineers and contractors to keep our equipment up to date to meet state and federal regulations. 

We are also currently working on some major projects which include building a new water plant which will allow us to increase our water production and sales.  We are also working on site plans to rehab our current sewer plant.  These major projects are being done in conjunction with a over 2,000 bed prison being built at the former TVA property by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA).
